THE MOST ACCURATE TEMPERATURE FIXED POINT
The water triple point is the most ac curate fixed point of the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS 90) that can be represented. It is defined at 0.01 °C or 273.16 Kelvin respectively. The precision of this fixed point is better than 0.0001 °C. Thanks to the high thermal equili brium of the fixed point, the water triple point cell is optimally suitable for high-precision calibration (for ex ample of platinum resistance ther mometers)
Our water triple point cells are made of chemical- and temperature-resistant borosilicate glass and are filled with high-purity water after a special chemical treatment.
